The interim Public Works Director, Rob Houghton, PE, is responsible for all Public Works programs and operations, including Solid Waste. He reports directly to the Calaveras County Board of Supervisors.

On an interim basis, Rob is also directly responsible for the Solid Waste Division and for implementing all solid waste programs and daily operations.

The Solid Waste Division employs a total of seventeen staff, twelve of whom are assigned to the seven-day-a-week operation at Rock Creek.
