If you are unable to leave your waste tires with your tire dealer when you purchase new tires, you can take two tires per visit to the Red Hill and Wilseyville Transfer Stations or Gambi Disposal in San Andreas, for no charge. The Rock Creek Solid Waste Facility near Milton accepts two tires per visit for free and charges for each additional tire. All tires are shipped offsite for reuse or recycling. Disposal fees are charged as follows:

Tractor tires larger than 22"

Waste Tire Hauler Permit Required
State law requires all persons hauling ten or more waste tires at a time to carry a valid "waste tire hauler permit". To obtain a permit or get a one-time exemption, please contact Calaveras County Environmental Health at (209) 754-6399.

If you have a large number of tires or need to arrange for regular collection, contact either of the following registered waste tire haulers:
