How Do I Prepare The Recyclables?

Calaveras Disposal Service, Inc. is providing a weekly year-around curbside recycling program. Instead of putting all your garbage into a refuse container, place the following recyclables into one of two plastic recycling bags. One bag will be used for your glass, plastic and aluminum. The second bag will be used for the paper goods listed below. Your recyclables will then be sorted down at our recycling facility.

You will receive two plastic bags. They will be replaced weekly according to how many you put out.

For Example: If you only put out one of the two bags in one week, the following week you will receive one replacement bag. If you put out two bags you will receive two in return.

Throw away lids and rinse all containers. Labels may be left on containers.

Newspapers/Magazines/Catalogs/
Corrugated Cardboard/Paperboard

Place these items into the second bag.

Examples of paperboard include cereal/cracker boxes and gift boxes. All plastic liners must be removed. Waxed surfaces and gift wrap are not acceptable paperboard products.
