waste must be segregated and disposed of separately from other refuse
so that it may be diverted from the landfill. Segregated wood
and yard wastes are accepted at the following locations,

Restrictions. Only clean
segregated wood waste such as lumber, plywood, crates, or pallets.
Nails are OK. No paint, varnish or wood finishes are acceptable.
No gypsum wallboard or roofing materials are acceptable.
Reuse and Recycling. All
collected wood and yard wastes are chipped and reused as a fuel
additive at co-generation power plants, as alternative daily cover
at Rock Creek, or as a soil amendment.
All sites are open during the days and hours
indicated above, except that all sites are closed on New Year's
Day, Easter Sunday, Thanksgiving and Christmas. For additional information,
